ANNA THOMSON COMEDY

I am a trained physical performer, clown, director and facilitator. I specialise in humourous, experimental, interactive performances, creative programs, LGBTIQA+ projects, artist mentoring, workshops, puppeteering, MC work and roving entertainment.
With a love of satire and a playful cheekiness, I explore environmental & social issues through physical comedy, movement, audience interaction & comedic disruption. I take a somatic and trauma-informed approach to creating visually stimulating devised work, and have co-created with diverse communities for over 15 years.
Contact me for collaborations & workshop info. For a current CV, please get in contact.
I acknowledge the Traditional Owners, the muwinina people on whose land I reside, and also the Larrakia peoples of Garramilla, the land on which I often work & play. I sincerely pay my respects to all First Nations peoples and acknowledge the effects of dispossession and colonialism that form our collective history, and the privileges that I have gained from this as a non-indigenous person. I whole-heartedly commit to anti-racism work, to raising First Nations voices and artists, to sharing the load of righting wrongs, and continue to work towards genuine allyship. Always was, always will be ABORIGINAL land.
